Questions & Answers

To drill a hole, what size do I need?

Fractional drill gauges would be helpful for him. My husband uses this to measure the size of the hole he needs 7/16 inch should be the size of the hole for this fastener.

Could these rivets hold a sheet metal thickness of up to 2 inches thick? Can you explain why no one seems to be ?

Sheet metals with a thickness of 1/8 or thinner are usually made with them

Can these be used on the fenders and body panels of automobiles?

You can't really do bodywork if you're going to do it. With a flange tool you'd place the panel on a table, lay it in place, and then weld it together. *br> *br>Yes, with screws in place for removable doors or panels. The heads of the screws would then stick out of the access panel, causing a hazard. Due to the thickness of the flange, you must account for the thickness of the removable panel since it will be kept from the original skin by

For each insert, how long is it?

As the diameter of the rivet nut varies, the 5/16 is not the same as the 1/8. There is 675" between the edge of the shoulder and the edge of the sleeve (ribbed area).

The work is good
5/5

The work is good. As I don't have a pull tool, I use a bolt, extra nuts and flat washers, and a bent strap I made out of plate iron. The strap pulls well, allowing a good grip when fully tightened. To have a variety of sizes on hand, I bought a number of sizes.

As long as you don't mess with them, they're supposed to work
4/5

like these, but I wish they were a bit longer, of course, so that they could be used with thicker materials like 18-gauge It doesn't work for 1/8" thick, I have to do some 22 gauge for thin metal, 22 gauge is good for much thicker metal. An easley gauge of 26 grams. For more information, see "Auto body etc. ".

Fasteners that fit snugly
4/5

I bought quite a few The majority of them worked well, but some were a bit loose and needed to be ground down and replaced. In the event that I need more, I will purchase.

I use them everywhere. It's an awesome product. You can find them in metal, wood, and It is so much easier than trying to hold a nut in a confined space.
