Is this rivet nut strong enough to be used in somewhat heavy-duty applications?

In short, yes. To hold the sheet metal to the frame, we used these on a track car. So far, they have been very useful.

Can you tell me if this kit comes with a hand tool for applying the threaded rivets, or do you need to purchase those ?

Would you mind sharing the torque recommendation so the hole does not spin in the crimp?

After the rivnut has been crimped, the barrel is serrated to keep it from spinning. Just before the serration, measure the barrel and drill the hole as small as possible to fit the barrel Get a feel for when it's crimped all the way on a scrap piece of the material

The exhaust pipes of a car engine will be hot, will these resist the heat?

It shouldn't be a problem to deal with the heat

I need these rivet nuts for the 1/2 inch course threads of my casters that I'm putting on my project, and these fit nicely! It couldn't be any easier, and I'll be able to conclude this project tomorrow before I return to work on Monday, where it will be going straight to my desk!

It contains all the sizes I need and some more. As a result, I had to buy a few of these for my Saddlebags on my Harley Davidson since the existing ones have become junk. This set comes with a little storage case and is the same case that fit another set of washers and bolts that I bought recently. You can actually attach the pieces together for easier transport. It is all in all a good set, I am very satisfied with it.

My first set was smaller than I thought and I realized that I needed a larger set. As far as what I need and probably more than what I will ever need, I have found that this offers it. As for the price, it is good. We hope they will be durable enough so that they last for years to come.
