Installing a snug fastener how do you do it?

To crimp the fastener, drill a hole of the proper size, push the fastener into the hole, and crimp it in place with a bolt and nut. I can get it done very quickly and it will be functional and tight. My toolbox has a tool for every size of fastner I own.

Can you tell me what the grip range is?

The Rivnuts are not as strong as the plus nuts, nevertheless I used them to secure two 2x10s to my van walls for a bed frame that supports two adults and had no issues. I don't know what their grip strength is, however, it is plenty for the job.

Will this work for a tanning bed hinge the part where the screw went in came out with the screw attached. Does it look like this piece and will it ?

It may be necessary to use the correct tools and adequate material for installation.

Are there any thickness limitations? Will the devices work with material as thin as 1/8" thick?

Although these work great on sheet metal and the like, I would probably prefer a plus nut instead if I were to try it on 1/8 material, so as to grip a wider area of

After setting, there should be no spinning or looseness. The SNUG Fasteners (SNG204) come in fifty (50) 1/4-inch lengths The UNC Rivet Nuts come in a handy case that you can easily dispensing them. I am unable to compare zinc plated carbon steel with stainless steel. For an interior application, these were selected because of their ease of stretching.

The price is affordable, but the selection is A cheap alternative to rivnuts

These are carbon steel rivet nuts that are easy to install, however I found that they cannot handle much torque beyond 20 ft-lb A few pounds If the thread is stretched too far, the thread will unravel.

In addition to 20% of the nuts being the incorrect size and one being completely molded incorrectly in my package of riv nuts, the job site discovered one that was abnormally shaped. The customer service phone number I found was non-existent!.
