I bought this cased assortment of metric rivet nuts from M3 to M10 with 205 rivet nuts. When I am installing a bolt into sheet metal I may not have easy access to the back side to screw in the nut. I use a rivet nut setter to get the bolt into place. This rivnut set includes six different sizes of 204 stainless steel (SS) cases. There are 205 cases in total. I will be supplying M3 x 50 pieces, M4 x 50 pieces, M5 x 45 pieces, M6 x 35 pieces, M8 x 15 pieces, and M10 x 10 pieces. The last two photos show what it looks like from both sides of a rivet nut mountedbr /> On the last picture, you can see the inner side of the hole. It is important to drill the hole at the proper size and to ensure that the sheet metal thickness is correct. For a rivnut to grasp steel plate or other thick metal, it must collapse, so the plate or metal can't be too thick. Because they are stainless steel, I like them because they are sure not to rust, and their value is great. 205PCS 304 stainless steel rivet nut set with flat head threaded insert nuts. (M3 | M4 | M5 | M6 | M8 | M10), recommended by Amlits. This is a great value for your money! It is my sincere hope that these facts and my review have been useful to you.
When attached to thin substrates, rivet nuts come in handy for holding removable items securely in place. My yard machines have been equipped with quite a few of them. It is usually necessary to remove a metal protective panel in order to access the internals for repair or maintenance. The new panel is connected to the frame of the machine via two sheets of sheet metal A screw that is made of metal. When the screw holes on the frame become enlarged with use, the screws and panels are unable to snap securely into place. This happened to me when the sheet was damaged so I installed rivet nuts and used bolts instead of A screw that is made of metal. In addition to the steel rivet nuts from my tool, these stainless steel screws from this set should last longer. I replaced them with the steel rivet nuts that came with my tool. In the past few months, I have done just did not encounter any problems during installation. 304 stainless steel rivet nuts, which will still rust eventually, are used, instead of 316 stainless steel. I wish they were made with higher quality Although 304 stainless steel nuts are better than the steel nuts they are replacing, they are still inferior.
The rivet nuts were new to me so I had to learn about them first. To apply them, it may be necessary to have a special tool, but in reality it is possible to DIY crimping without anything more than what you have at home No expensive tools need to be bought to install rivnuts, nuts or nutserts). Due to their stainless steel composition, stainless rivet nuts are more difficult to crimp than aluminum, but they are also stronger and can withstand severe weather conditions. An excellent collection of sizes in various (metric) measurements, with a good number of pieces for every.
I have no idea what will happen. My boat will be covered in fiberglas when I try these out. My guess is that single point would fracture the fiberglass, so I think that I'll use three points (3 of them triangles) to spread the load and prevent "twisting" and keep the compression and tension in place which is where fiberglass can be rather strong as well.
We have six different nut sizes in this great assortment. Remember that the bolts must match the nuts. If in the U. S. , you would need to buy metric bolts. There are many rivet nut assortments in English sizes for you to consider.
The rivet nuts in this set come in a plastic case for storage, and the sizes they come in are numerous.
Apparently I needed refills for a project, and these were perfect for it!.
