They're the same size as the plastic ones, but they're the correct size. Only turn to lock (plastic ones may turn in either direction). Getting them to lock was a bit of a pain. To get them to lock properly, I discovered that I had to turn them EXACTLY a quarter turn. They couldn't pull the bolt any further because it would be caught by the other side. br>br>The metal is a bit soft, as I felt like I started stripping them without much force. br>br>If I tightened the bolt any less, the bolt would come loose while tightening the other side. br>br>The metal is a bit soft, as I felt like I started stripping them without much force. These replacements worked perfectly, and because of the quick delivery, my assembly was only a day or two late, which is much better than having to return to IKEA! It's worth noting that these cams come in different sizes for different products, so measure first to ensure you get the right ones.

After a relocation, these were used to replace cam locks. When the movers unloaded the dresser, all but one had vanished, and the dresser was falling apart. Ikea's assembly instructions give the part number as 119030. They appear to be made of sturdy metal, fit well and did not protrude in any way, and the plastic covers appear to be functional if needed (which they were not for this replacement project). br>br>All of the measurements were correct.
They're sturdy, but they're too tall for the Ameriwood bookshelf I need them for (they don't fit flush in the hole). I'm going to save them for a future project.
These were used to replace the plastic cam locks that came with some Ikea furniture that we purchased. I thought it was silly to use plastic and easily breakable cam locks on such a large piece of furniture that was carrying a lot of weight and, as a result, was also heavy. These were extremely effective.
