The design works as expected. In the beginning I had no idea that these are locking flare nuts once they're screwed on, do not expect to take them off and on or spin them on by hand. These nuts work much like nylon insert lock nuts, only they're all brass instead of nylon. It feels almost as if they are cross threaded initially, but after a few turns you realize these are lock nuts with chrome washers and all brass, not You must so ensure they are what you are looking for. For some bolts and washers, I prefer to use a flat washer, lock washer, then a regular nut, so I can turn them most of the way by hand before I have to use a wrench.
