Upon further inspection, I discovered M8 nutserts were already on the machine, so I have kept Because of the thread strength, I find M8 to be the best size for most things. China made fasteners smaller than the required size have given me threading issues. It should be okay if there is moisture in stainless steel. One thing I have trouble with is when I drop one into a deep channel, my magnet won't try to.
