As an alternative to Kohler part 84999, this part is used to replace a Kohler toilet. It is an excellent product that does exactly what it is supposed to. As an alternative to Kohler part #84999, I used these. I hope it appears in searches, because I found a recommendation to use neoprene well nuts, and these are exactly what I need and work MUCH better than the Kohler part (which uses a different type of anchor) at a fraction of the cost. I give it five stars without a doubt.

As a result, I used some screw nuts from a hardware store (Hillman) that I assumed were for thinner material and, as a result, didn't create enough stoppage to hold well. A kayak hull is a thick and hefty object, so these guys did the job well. As of now, the chair has so firmly been attached to the yak that you can shake the yak, lifting the chair up to shake it firmly. The old holes were even perfectly suited for the new, nice! I have one note to make. This screw has a M5 x thread. Make sure your length is 8 and check it If the screws don't fit, it may be hard to just run out and get new ones if you cannot find M5 in retail stores. It may also be difficult to find marine grade screws in longer lengths, so you may not be able to just run out and get new screws. You will also need this if you are mounting a non-standard solar panel If you have a flat object (like the tubing of a chair) at the same time, you might want to get some washers. That gasket head tends to bunch up a bit if not tended to. In my case, they were just about 2mm too short to fully engage the brass threads, so instead of putting the well nut into the hole first, I put it on the screw and pushed it down from the other side until I could thread the brass threads. It resulted in just a little bit of expansion with this little bit of compression, but I was able to easily place it into the hole and I'm pleased with the results. It appears that one of the well nuts was missing from the item. The first time I tried to use it, the hand tightened it and it fell I didn't think the hole was too large for the well nut to fit through. It held when I tried another one. As I was installing the strap handle, I noticed the kayak had a loose seam. have added a triple helix to it because I'm not confident that it'll hold You can fold the It would be great if I could return it, but I can't take off those screws because I will have a ten-millimeter hole in the wall.

During a prior factory repair I had a 3/8 in. diameter hole left over from having replaced the tank level sensors in my trailer holding tanks. It works perfectly with the expanding well nut! A nut and bolt with rubber washers was not a solution because the tank wall was slightly thicker than 1/4 inch and there was no way to access the interior of the tank. When I received my package of well nuts, I put one into a hole drilled in a piece of 1/4 inch plastic and tested it. I love it. I consider it an ideal solution to a frustrating problem because it seals off the hole.

There are two Ascend Kayaks that I have - a sit-on-top and a stand-up kayak They're the best. Standard rubber well nuts would not hold as the length of the nuts was too short, making them easily prone to slipping Well nuts longer than 3/8 inch can be fitted through the existing holes and hold. I am very happy with these and will buy them again.

It was easy to replace our kayak's handles with these. As soon as I drilled the hole to the size of the rubber piece (not bigger), I inserted the rubber piece, attached the handle, and screwed until it was tight. Everything is very secure now. There is no movement in the handle of the kayak because it is heavy.
