There are two reasons why I bought these. One of the advantages of these screws was that they had longer threaded nuts and therefore were more durable. As for the second point, the sellers weren't trying to imply that M8 is the same as 5/16", as other sellers advertised. 5/16" can only be made to fit M8 if the threads are loosened and cross threads are expected. The product is excellent.

It appeared to have been bigger in the pictures and I was missing 2 rings (I ordered two packs, so I had 8 instead of 10) I had another friend with bad luck as well, so I didn't want to bother her, so it's my fault for not speaking up!.
