I'll give you the short version. Nevertheless, the sizing pieces are extremely useful during the time they remain on the cable as they are useful for sorting loose screws/bolts and nuts. * However, if you are attempting to size a screw, bolt, nut, or threaded female opening that is going to be permanently attached, then these sizing pieces are You cannot turn, rotate, or spin them while they are attached to the cable. This is because they cannot be turned, rotated, or turned into a screw/bolt, or by turning them inside a female threaded opening. As an example, the other day, I was trying to determine the size/gauge of a threaded female opening (i. e. A hole) on a computer motherboard. When I tried to spin the male bolt/screw sizing piece into the motherboard hole, I would not be able to because once I dropped the piece to the motherboard hole I would not be able to hold onto it anymore. In this case, a cable would be needed. My plan is to cut the cable, then store all of these pieces in a shallow plastic box that has about 15 or 20 small organizer compartments. It's probably best if I put two pieces in each compartment so I'll be able to easily identify what piece I need. Once I have a spare, I can take it out and use it however I need it. It would be better without the My OCD would be triggered if I became more prone to it As far as the toolbox compartments and sizing pieces are concerned, I will print labels to identify them accurately since the labels are quite difficult It's the chrome pieces that really catch the eye.

This tool is useful, well designed and well made, and I can use it to check the size of both bolts and nuts quickly. There are sizes for most home projects covered in the book The size marks stand out enough for me. Also, the font is clear enough to read. The only thing I regret is I did not buy.
