Questions & Answers
There is no galvanizing on them. This item is finished in steel. I appreciate it.
It's not clear whether the surface has hardened. The hole for the nail I drill is always drilled with the long side of the nail head facing the grain, so the nail is driven in that direction. It has never been an issue for me to split. It depends on the length and type of wood (hard or soft) how big the hole should be - about the size of the nail tip.

In addition to the glass wall hangings, I also hung some exposed wired wall hangings with these. Simple nails look better than these subtle ones, yet they are still more aesthetically pleasing. My favorite feature is the hanging string, because it makes me feel as if it won't mess up even if I shake the hanging or brush it.
I bought these to give an antique look to a project I was working on. The nails played an important role in the final product, and I am very pleased with how they turned out.
There are nails here, and they look fine. I am yet to use them.
This nail set is nice and used on a homemade table, however, it is overpriced for a mere.
My purpose for purchasing these was to hang stockings on a rustic mantel. They worked beautifully!.
The nails are well crafted and vintage.
