It's a lot easier and faster to put together, it's a lot more durable, and it can be used in both walls and ceilings. Not only that, but the provided screw can be removed and reinstalled as needed without affecting the anchor's position. When you remove the screw on a traditional toggle bolt, you lose the anchor and have to start over. The Toggler snaptoggle, which is linked here and reviewed elsewhere, is definitely worth checking out. There isn't a comparison to be made.

The Hillman Group 41429 Round Head Toggle Bolt 1/4-Inch was used in this project. My 75" Samsung TV was mounted to a dry wall with 4in. After paying a maintenance guy to install them and seeing how simple they were, I used four Toggle Bolts before moving into a new apartment. DO NOT purchase these if you plan to use an articulating wall mount. Because of the weight and moment placed on the toggle bolts, your TV will most likely rip off the wall. My wall mount is a slim, flat design that only allows you to tilt the TV up slightly to access the back ports. Prior to this new mounting with Toggle Bolts, I had my TV mounted like this for over a year with no problems.
These are what I use to keep my dog's large plastic ball safe. I drilled a hole in her 14" plastic ball and attached a 1/4 eye bolt to it. I then attach a rope to it and keep it from twisting by using a heavy fishing spinner. She plays with it for hours and gets a lot of mileage out of it.
