Is it better to use a coarse or fine thread?

The thread is very fine.

Is this really a ten? pack? Only one of the four toggle anchors I require is shown. Others cost $60/4, while this one costs $15/10. Doesn't make sense, does it?

In terms of tension and shear, how strong is it? Do you need cabinets to be hung from a hollow metal beam?

I'm using them for a barn door bracket, and the doors weigh in at around 130 pounds.

Ideal for use with a barn rail door system

These bolts were used to secure a barn rail door system to 1/4" drywall. There were six bolts on each rail: Three of the original bolts that came with the system screwed into studs, but three did not, necessitating the use of toggle bolts for the remaining three. They were ideal for this application, and the rail system is now firmly attached to the wall. It's simple to set up and use. The only caveat is that you must drill a hole as large as the compressed toggle (in this case about 3/4"), which necessitates the use of a gasket to conceal the hole (which my rail system provided).

In the bathroom, I used it to hang a grab bar. This size bolt was required for the grab bar, which neither Home Depot nor Lowe's had in stock or online.

It performs admirably

I needed a toggle bolt in this size but couldn't find one locally. These toggle bolts are well-made and performed admirably in my application, which was to anchor tie points for ropes on the bed of my pickup truck. I'm sure they'd do a good job of anchoring in walls as well.
