I upgraded my RV with solar panels, batteries, and inverters. As this was the largest cable size I would need, I ordered quality 2AWG copper cables with 3/8" lugs. While the system worked, I was disappointed to only be able to get about 1300 watts out of the 2000 watt inverter before it tripped. As I researched, inverter trips were most likely caused by undersized cables or improper lug sizes. It was the lug size that was to blame for the trip, the breakers had 1/4" studs, the batteries had 5/16", and my monitoring shunt needed I was able to sustain the rating of my inverter once everything was properly lugged and cut to length. The heatshrink attached appears to be very good quality, and they can handle currents up to 1 A. The lugs do an adequate job and they can handle the high current demand. This is a good value for money hotel.
You never know when you will be in need of a new one on a battery cable, I keep an assortment on hand for just such an Batteries terminals can be quite costly to purchase separately, but with a battery terminal kit, you get a lot of options that come with a fairly neat case so it's not a big deal to store them. Battery terminal crimping is something I have done for years, and I have not had issues with the crimp or reliability.
It's a great case for what it is intended for. Due to my own ignorance, I messed up three lugs. One of them was a 4 awg, and the other two were 8 awgs. When it came to crimping the 4 awg, I thought I did a good job. The first time I worked with it, I believed the connection was secure and would not break. To my dismay, it broke. The problem has been resolved after I replaced it with another one. In my case, I made a mistake in the wire measurement and had to make a second set of cables for 8 AWG. So you can see that it is not the problem with the lugs.
This shrink wrap is shiny and works well. There is not a single defect to be seen, and all of them are shiny copper without burrs or sharp edges. There is a nice crimp to them. If you use shrink wrap in a particular color It looks nice, and the sleeves shrink nicely, turning into a thick, even, and evenly shrunk size. Although I'm not sure if there is adhesive on it, the seal looks great and does not seem to be rotating. Usually I don't need to double shrink, but sometimes I do so Put the paper in a wrapper. I am satisfied.
The quality of these cable clips was much more superior than I expected for the price. I was surprised by the results when I began working with them. For this project, I made use of a hydraulic crimper and a The glue adhered well, as well, and the crimps held up nicely. It will be better if I can buy more in the future.
They meet all of the There is no doubt that they are made of copper of good quality as they are dimensioned correctly. A nice touch on the heat shrink tubing is that it has some kind of heat-activated glue.
So far, I am pleased with it. The copper is of good quality. To make custom feed cables for my work truck inverters, I used the tool. Crimping has not been an issue, nor has overheating occurred.
They were very good. The whole thing worked well. All of the items are neatly organized in the box. My local hardware store offers it for a lot less than what I found here.
