I used it for a non-food purpose and it was really useful I have attached teflon insulated stranded wire to a teflon insulated stranded wire to hold insulation across one end of my furnace/ac I had water leak through my floor, causing my original insulation to become damaged and new insulation to be unable to be held in place with regular metalized tape since it would not adhere to the dust-covered original insulation.

You must solder your crimps and solder them This was the only ring terminal I could find without preinstalled insulators, so I decided to try them

The connectors crimp onto the pre-tinned (soldered) wires easily and do not require too much solder. Once I've added my own shrink wrap, I cover it with that as well. The result is a mechanical/electrical connection that is excellent.

I am not recommending it for junction boxes

The junction box the product comes with has a 7 wire configuration. There is not enough room in the holes to slide over the junction box posts, so they don't work.

It is of good As these are used on saltwater boats, I would have preferred if they were solid at the top, such as lugs, should keep out air and moisture

It is next to impossible to do without adhesive heat shrink.
