Questions & Answers
Ten copper lugs and five pieces of black / five pieces of red heat shrink tube came with mine.
We are sorry, but this product does not come with crimping tools.
A bare wire is set to 0 on the parameter list. A tube of 2/0 lug can be inserted into a 46" tube.
The crimpers I got are heavy duty. As far as I'm concerned, I work the getto way. A hammer is used to hammer a block of wood into the tool. They are crazy tight when he cuts them! I've never had an issue with that.

The 8 AWG terminals shown in the picture are what I ordered. In fact, the ones I received are less than half the thickness of those advertised. This crap is really not appreciated by me. If I buy something based off of the pictures, it's dishonest to send me something that is only half the material. I'm going to use these on a boat, so it's not something I want to hope holds up over time. It needs There is no way I can rely on them.
I love the material and how well the heat wraps fit.
I agree with other posters, these are probably thinner than shown in the picture. However, they are still solid, nice connectors, and will certainly be able to serve my needs. As part of my crimping process, I placed them in my 6" vise at a 45-degree angle at the corner. Although it wasn't terribly difficult, I put all my effort into it and they didn't compress as much as I had thought. I don't have the right tools for crimping so these are going to be difficult. Crimps and adhesive heat shrink closure are solid, but the crimps are a little loose.
Here's what I want to say to start things off THIS IS A HEAVY DUTY MODEL. Oh my gosh, I bought these connectors for a subwoofer install on my car, and they were so difficult to clamp on to a wire that I had to beat the hell out of them with a hammer in order to get them to clamp. They are thick and sturdy, except for a bit of flexibility.
I love the brass lugs. They're heavy duty and fit on an 8 gauge AWG welding wire perfectly. It was easy to order, and I would buy it again if I needed more.
It is the thinnest and lightest type. It depends on how it's used. Make sure you know what electrical requirements you have. I would have never gotten them if I didn't know about Selterm heavy duty is recommended for those who want thicker bands.
I like the way the lugs fit tightly around the wires and the shrink wrap that came with it seems like it has a water-proofing effect when it gets shrunk -- I really like that!.
Heavy duty, fits wire perfectly
you need a heavy duty industrial crimper
I did not have one, so I used a chisel and center punch to accomplish this. There was no need to buy an expensive tool for just two fittings because those weren't the right way to crimp them.
