Do not get these if you're looking to move your outlets, especially if you're doing something like a tile job. A box extender will do, or an extension that snaps together like a Lego block. They don't support the ears at all, so you will have a lot of wobbling in these. Also, when you consider that the blue extension cables are actually quite flimsy, you're left with a wobbly outlet. The extender is also incredibly easy to compress. In my opinion, I cannot imagine how anything useful could be accomplished with this, as it is too soft and does not provide any support. I am curious as to how the other stunning reviews have been written, because I just cannot see how this could Good thing about the screws is that they are good quality.
In fact, I cannot manage to imagine all of the frustration and wasted time that would result from trying to level outlets and switches that had been installed too far back in the sheetrock by With the Outlet Extender Buddy, you are able to customize the measurement to your specifications, which is a major advantage over regular box extenders. This is my favorite kind of stuff. Would have been great to have known about them a long time.
It is not a problem if the product is cut a little too long as it easily compresses when you tighten the outlet screws while remaining snug-fitting.
In order to level a few switchplates after adding the backsplash, I needed something to level them. A good outlet extender buddy is exactly what it claims to be. I love how easy it is to cut to the length I need. A video demonstrating how to do it was the cherry on top. I can do this with no problem.
Adding outlets has never been easier. This is a great product! The only thing I would have changed would be to include longer.
