The cover was enough for me to purchase the book. There is a lot of weight to it. There is only a minor problem with tightening the screws this compresses the rubber gasket and causes the covers to stick up a bit. We also purchased the other version with crew hole covers (for another floor outlet) because it worked more efficiently.

Purchasing this floor box was for an area in my family room where we have a need for a power outlet, HDMI, and ethernet connection. The model with an antique nickel finish is in plain sight, so I chose the one that would match the other hardware in the room. I fear that the biggest problem will be the cover. An assembly that had been loosely put together was wrapped in plastic and fitted into a box with tight fitting lips. The cover's finish will not be protected with an additional layer of protection. Since there was a sandwich of cardboard and plastic against the cover, the unit was randomly polished while it was being shipped - This is where. There are a few bright spots on my brushed nickel finish. In the dark against the flooring, it makes a real eyesore.

The design aspect of how the data ports interlock with the brass top plate has some shortcomings. This data outlet has a rectangular faceplate and round data outlet. It does not sit completely flush when it is A better designed device would be more fitting for $80. There appears to be a lack of consideration for the data parts.
