There are four sides to it The width of this piece is 3 13/16" x the height is 3 13/16", and the thickness is 3/8".

The answer is no, they're not. My apologies. I am not sure what you mean by this We never place spacers around the faceplates instead, we place them right next to the outlets and switches. A bigger spacer that fits under the faceplate is what you are referring to.

If you're using screws with these, the first thing you should do is use a drill to ream out the center mounting hole, so that it's slightly larger than the screw. It should be possible for the screws to run through the spacer freely without going When it threads through the plastic, then the slot may or may not line up vertically with the holes in the electrical box, depending on where it threads through the plastic.
