In spite of many years of excellent service with minimal repairs (we replaced a heater element about three years ago, that was it), we had to replace our Kenmore dryer recently. Using a multimeter, we tested the element, thermostat, and thermal cutoff, with the cutoff being found to be the problem. A quick online search for the Kenmore part number on the Parts Direct website turned up the required number Amazon offered lower prices than Parts Direct for the cutoff, and with that I chose them. Thanks to a mistake on my part, I had a "second" kit, unknown to me, from the same vendor - it showed FSP packaging - for $2 more than the one I bought. What do you think? There is nothing special about it it is made in China Also available as a packaged product from FSP. In the meantime, that is what I've got in my dryer, hopefully it will last a while. It remains to be seen.

It arrived promptly and fit the dryer correctly, so I give this a 5 star rating. According to the Ohm Meter, all the parts were functioning well after installation as well. To eliminate the guess work behind getting no heat, it was a simple and inexpensive way to solve the problem. The product I have purchased is not functioning correctly (timer problem) and I have not used it since it was replaced with this part. Therefore I cannot comment on quality or duration of use.

It sounds awesome to me, but according to him, I didn't use it. During his search on Amazon, he found the exact part he needed for only $5. This was very much appreciated since he had a difficult time finding the part, but when he searched on Amazon, he found the exact part he needed at a great price. He said it is just as good as the expensive stuff from brand name companies like Sears and Home Depot, but you won't feel the impact on your wallet as much as those other brands. The small business didn't bother him at all, he didn't even recognize it. With this part, everything is working perfectly now with his dryer, and we couldn't have had that without it. We will most likely use this company again, and I recommend them to anyone who needs their work done but doesn't want to spend money for it.

They are cheap knock offs that are only good for a few hours or days. This part is considered an OEM "REPLICA", not an OEM part, and should be declared as such to potential buyers. In order to make this kit cheaper, you must find them for less than $25. If you hear otherwise, they will likely be cheap Chinese stuff. It's a shame you guys did that!.

I had to solve this problem quickly, but it took me an hour since I hadn't watched how I had taken out the heating panel, so I had no idea how to put it back in. As a result, I ran the dryer and initially found a strange smoking smell, but the smell disappeared after I ran it for 20 minutes while actively monitoring it. This is something I would recommend.
