I used it in a rectifier box I built for my Christmas lights. It did exactly what I needed it to do. This was paired with a sufficiently large capacitor and bleed resistors (for safety purposes) in a handy box, and now my cheap LED lights work as they should. Although it is powered by 5 strings of lights, it doesn't get hot at all. Upon arrival, the item was in excellent condition and was packaged in a retail blister pack.
