Because they're 28 gauge, I wouldn't use them for breadboarding. With breadboards, 24 gauge is far more reliable.
It is not included in this kit. Resistor with a resistance of 328 ohms.

These were the cheapest set of this many resistors I could find to fix the controller ports on my Dreamcast that had stopped working due to blown fuses - So I bought this for the fix and a few extras for future projects. br>br>Except for the low-cost shipping/packaging they chose, I'm pleased with everything. Putting anything this fragile in a bubble mailer is a surefire way to crack something, in this case the entire holder for all of these items - Thankfully, nothing was broken inside, but I'm deducting one star because they could have avoided all of this by placing it in a box or adding some padding. br>br>Update: 9th of April, 2019 - Seller quickly responded and apologized for their error, updating my review to reflect a perfect score because they went above and beyond to back up their product - This product and seller are both highly recommended!.
So, after weeks of having these in my toolbox, I finally had the opportunity to put them to use. br>br>I soldered a resistor into a led circuit, which quickly overheated and burned out. I just managed to keep the LEDs from being damaged. The ohm rating of the resistor was correct. I wish I liked them. br>br> The plastic case is attractive, and the bonus parts included are interesting, but none of this matters if the resistors fail. I'm not even able to give them back! br>br>Avoid these at all costs. They'll lose interest in you after a while. EDIT: br>br> After I wrote this review, the seller contacted me and offered me a full refund or a replacement item. They responded quickly and succinctly, and everything ended up working out in the end. For excellent customer service, I am changing my one-star rating to a five-star rating!.
It's an upgrade from $50. Zip Corvette 00 resistor that DID NOT WORK! $9. It was resolved by 00!.
As someone who has worked as an EE for a long time, I understand how good of a deal this is. The resistors are clearly labeled, so finding the correct one is not a problem. Surface mount components are used in all of my professional projects, but I use them in my hobbies as well. In terms of parts, I still prefer through hole, and this kit is ideal.
I'm used to a four-minute commute. These, however, use the 5-color code system. You should be aware of the band system. The leads are extremely thin, as others have noted, and it's unclear whether or not this will be an issue. I checked the values with a Fluke meter and they appear to be within the 1% tolerance on the few that I've used.
The variety and value are excellent. br>br>Only 4 out of 5 stars because: br>The 680(ohm) resistor was missing from the kit, so I got two 510(ohm) strips instead. (Quality control needs to be tightened. ) )br>br>The plastic case isn't inconvenient at all. It would be more practical to place each resistor strip in its own small plastic bag before placing them in a plastic case. I did something similar with snack bags and a bankers pouch I had on hand, which will help me keep resistor values separated and together after I disassemble a breadboard.
There are labels on all of the resistor strips. In addition, if you get the values mixed up, there is a color code key to help you read them. This is a set of four quarter-watt resistors. They're fine for logic circuits, but don't expect to use them for heavy loads. LEDs and other bonus items were included in my box.
marked clearly; It bends easily but is strong enough to stand on its own.
