Two of the three did not work

The project I was working on required a resistor to dissipate 1, so I used only one 20 ohm one. A power output of 8 Watts. It's way overkill that these resistors have a power rating of 25W, but I bought them. In the case of one resistor, it didn't work (open circuit), while in the case of the other, it worked fine. However, the problem is that it becomes VERY hot after dissipating only There are 8W of power in this unit. It is so hard to even get close to 25 Watts is an enormous amount of energy, so I can only imagine how hot it would be. If you want to cool the egg with liquid nitrogen, you will probably have to use liquid.

I have ordered a 10 Watt resistor with a 1 Ohm resistance. I have two multimeters and they indicate two voltages. It has a resistance of 4 ohms. This may not be appropriate for my application because it is outside of intended specification.
