The bulb finally arrived three weeks after I ordered it, and even though the packaging box had been squeezed so tightly into the mailbox that I had to wedge it out, the bulb appears to have been undamaged. Afterward, it just flickers when I insert it into a socket. As long as it's the correct replacement bulb, it fits perfectly and I double-checked that it's the right one. After replacing the old bulb with the new one, it works fine again, so I have to wait for another three or four weeks for a whole new one. It's not good.
