Only 1. However, the connectors are of excellent quality. I have four of them and constantly attach and detach them with no problems.
Yes. It can be used with two or four poles.
Unless otherwise specified, SpeakON cables are usually *female* in nature. This is used to connect two of the cables.

It's particularly useful for extending the length of two speakons. XLRs tend to pull away from the adapter and need to be soldered back together, so I much prefer speakons. Because they have a male and female end, XLRs have the advantage of being able to be chained together. This is where the coupler enters the picture.
Turns two 25' cables into a 50' cable in exactly the way you'd expect. I keep a few on hand to extend cables for longer runs, and the ability to combine shorter cables allows me to better match the size of my cable to the required run, resulting in less excess cable mess.
You should have a few of these in your adaptor kit if you have speakers and cables that use both Speakon and 1/4 in connectors. Period.
I wish they were made a little better, but I have yet to find a better connector.
It's well-made and performs flawlessly. In comparison to some of the off-brand imposters, this is the real deal.
The connection is extremely safe. There were no issues at all. Extends speaker cable by joining two males together.
These work great for extending Speakon cables. I wish I'd known about them before I went out and bought some longer ones.
It has a good/sturdy feel to it. The lock is easy to use and appears to be a good idea. And it worked (after connecting a 20' cable to a 100' cable, I got the expected music from the speaker).
