A #10 screw looks to be the one in the image. The wire I used for my application was #10. We do not know how big the terminal will take, but we can handle a large wire.
The wires were run out of the side - there is a cutout in the grey panel that covers the blades and screw terminals that lets you run the wires out.
From the outside, it's the same, except that there is no plastic cover to protect it.

It's also built very well. For now, I am just using it with a 24v lithium battery setup, in order to switch between battery charger connections and parallel two.
The switch we chose is larger than we expected, but does exactly what we needed for what we were intending.
In the end, I did not need the backup I ordered. I was able to use the device without a problem.
I like it a lot.
Power plants can connect to this type of cable.
