So there you have it. You plug the pedal into the wall, then the grinder or whatever you're using into the top of that plug, and then press the pedal to turn it on. Because the pedal's cord does not reach from the counter (where the plug is) to the floor, it could be made longer. I had to use an extension cord to get the job done.
The Q's characteristics Because A never responds on here, this is an On/Off switch. Press down to turn it on, and release to turn it off. This was purchased as a result of Q's recommendation. It was a pressure-sensitive input switch, according to the answer. No luck.
This is far superior to plugging and unplugging the saw to start and stop it.
