This is a one-way switch that can only be used to turn on or off. A potentiometer foot control and a motor with a variable frequency drive, also known as a motor speed controller, are required for variable speed. Jim at SSC 440, thank you for your help. 205- 1600

To use with my scroll saw, I purchased an intermittent foot switch. I like that if something goes wrong while I'm scrolling (blade breaks, etc. ), I can just take my foot off the pedal instead of reaching up and turning on the saw. This foot switch is of excellent quality, and I am very pleased with it. It's heavy and sturdy, and the switch inside appears to be in good working order. I like how simple it is to plug this into the wall and then plug my saw into the piggy-back connector. This foot switch has a back outlet that is connected to the power cord, and I can't think of anything I don't like about it. In addition, I believe the price is fair. If my impressions of this foot switch change in the future, I'll update my review.

This was purchased for my boyfriend to use with his portable ban saw, which he clamps to keep it in place. He used to have to clamp the trigger to keep it turned on, but now he can turn it off instantly with this foot pedal. It keeps him from getting the nicks he used to get. larger injuries that could occur br>br>turn on for power, then turn off to turn off. made to last Also tough is the cord.
Switch is made in the United States and is extremely durable. Die castings, rather than stamped steel sheet metal, are used for the components. This switch is sold by and was shipped quickly directly from the manufacturer. The spring action is strong and decisive. "Made in the USA" tools, in my opinion, are always worth looking for. If you do this, you'll have a shop full of dependable tools long after you've forgotten about the justified higher cost. I'd tell a friend about this change.
I think the cord included in the package is just long enough - it's responsive. For someone whose tool isn't as close to the plug as mine was, it might take a little longer.
There have been no issues, and everything has gone as planned. And I got it in a couple of days. It is cost effective.
I really like how simple it is to use.
It's a power hammer, and it's fantastic!.
