I'm trying to start a three-phase, 230-volt, ten-horsepower motor with a 25-horsepower rating. Will a 40 amp circuit work, and what are the coil voltage and overload amps?

The coil is 230V. Overload relay range is adjustable from 25 to 500 volts. 40 amps

It's a three-phase 40 amp motor starter, so in an ideal world, they'd be identical. However, you'll have to pay attention to how it's wired and transfer the wires to the correct terminals, which are probably not in the same place. But, like for like, a motor starter is a motor starter unless it's on a higher line voltage, which is 208/230 volts.

I'd like to use it with an air pressure switch for my 10 HP 3 phase 208V air compressor. Is it possible to connect this starter to my pressure switch?

I ordered a Weg starter box but received a cheap Chinese knockoff instead, which was a complete bait and switch. In addition, when I attempted to loosen the L3 lead screw, it stripped. It was a complete waste of money. Components are of poor quality.
