Product Description
To cut clogging, a spiral point tap has a spinning point that forces chips ahead of the tool
The spiral point tap is designed for cutting threads in through holes with straight flutes
With its relief style design, taps and workpieces contact less actively, which can lead to reduced wear on the tool
It minimizes the chance of the tools being spun around in the tool holder with its round shank and square end
The right-hand thread options for UNC (Unified Coarse) and UNF (Unified Fine) are available for a variety of

With confidence, the blade cuts well
5/5
The reason I bought these is because the 4 flute tap I'd bought earlier wore out while hand tapping 1/2" aluminum plate. A quick hole-punching job was completed for the remaining holes. With the 6 flutes, I felt as if I would break the tap, whereas with the 4 flutes, I felt very confident that I would. Yes, I also used tapping fluid in both instances.
