The fact that this isn't an expensive Amana or Whiteside bit doesn't change it, but it is completely Regardless of how conservatively you feed and step over the load, you get a very poor tear out, as you can see in the The first time I used this bit was a while ago, so it's not like I used it for hours and hours to carve. Perhaps it was a bad one, but it's a good price even so. Don't waste your money on it and buy something else instead. I saved far less money by saving this piece of padauk than I would have by buying a new one.

While this is an OK product, I was slightly disappointed by its cutting ability. It would have been nice if the cutting finish had been smoother. A good buy other than this, money well spent.

The blade stays sharp and clean when cutting. Used to cut a piece of mahogany for a 3d project without any problems.
