Yes, the end is in the shape of a complete ball. The tool's diameter is equal to the ball's diameter. At the tool's end, the form is half of a ball, so you could say it makes a U shape.
It could work. However, the driving and cutting components of your tool setup are not a good match. This end mill is designed for use with a milling machine, and it is a powerful tool capable of applying a high amount of cutting force and torque. Dremel tools spin faster, but they have a smaller motor and produce less torque. It could work, and the cost is low enough that you could try it out. I believe you will scratch the surface of your material rather than cutting into it like a mill.

I used HSMAdvisor to calculate RPM and federate given the parameters for what I was working on (material hardness, depth of cut, etc. ) and then started the program, which ran flawlessly until the tool broke halfway through the operation.
It was a lot of fun cutting 6061 aluminum! I'd suggest it.
I'm using it with my CNC and it's working well so far.
To drill spring steel from cast steel, I needed something. This was the only thing I could come up with that would do the trick. I was able to drill it out quickly and easily.
It does exactly what it says it will do, and I've already ordered another piece from them. The only thing to pay attention to is the actual cutting height; I wish it was a little higher, but that was my fault for not reading the description carefully enough, so I still give it 5 stars. Overall, it's a fantastic purchase, with a sturdy build and a cute carrying case.
WOW! I did an outstanding job.
It is undeniable that having the right tool makes a difference.
Before attempting this, I tried 8 other ball end mills. They all broke, but now that I've used this cutter on eight different projects, it's a champ.
