What is the thread depth (the amount of height control I have with the screw)?

Mine are the 1/2"-wide ones. 13, I used all of the thread in my project so that I could adjust it. It threads in about half an inch, so there isn't much room for adjustment with just the pad. To secure them to the entire thread, I used jamnuts.
