It's alright, but not great

Flats on the studs and a metal stand are the only differences between this and the less expensive version. At work, I also have the plastic stand model hanging on my desk. It's been hanging for 20 years with no problems, but I'd save the $50 and get the less expensive one next time.

All of the studs, nuts, and clamps appear to be of good quality, but my holder had rust in the seams, and you'll probably want a shorter set of studs than the ones that came with it because the ones that came with it are still quite tall.

The surfaces are smooth and do not appear to have been coated over mill scale as some have claimed

The parts are milled rather than cast or poorly finished, as evidenced by the deep black finish. The surfaces are smooth, and they don't appear to have been coated over mill scale like some other parts I've seen on Amazon.
