It should be fine with an additional couple of spacers. The way I've done it, I've never had any problems.

There is a MT1-S on my computer It is an mt2 controller adapter that turns the final drive into mt2 This is MT2. To reduce from MT2, an adapter would be required Italics are mine. In order to get the desired final drive, one would need to order the latter.

There was no other adapter available on Amazon that could compare with this one. In order to slide my NOVA Comet tailstock into a "short taper", I needed a short taper. What I did was as follows The MT1 taper Mini-head was slipped on to it I set the Drive Center so they were all locked between centers, then carefully cut it with a DREMEL EZ-CUT A lock wheel with a cutting diameter of The number five. After it was carefully cleaned up, it was ready to use! There is a "shorty" MT in my family! An adapter to convert an old live center set to an MT2 for use with a mini-display My tailstock requires the drives to fit.
There is no room to fit this into the tailstock of my Jet lathe. I'm going to have to cut it down to use it.
Designed to fit both the tapered drill as well as the drill press. Is not prone to slipping.
I am upgrading from a small lathe to a larger one, and I found this adapter to be very useful. It saved me a lot of money from having to buy new ends right away because I was able to use the ends I had from the smaller lathe.
It surprised me that this came all the way from mainland China. The delivery was also very fast. There are multiple fine scratches on the taper which would not affect use, but I had to clean it up first - it is machined properly - but I had to clean it first. This is just a cosmetic procedure. There was one deep scratch about 2 mm long with a burr in it. My lathe headstock would have been damaged if I had done that. By filing off the burr with a jeweler's file and buffing it with Flitz polish and green, then white Scotchbrite pads, I completely smoothed the adaptor. I am now able to use it and it looks just like it should. In order to use the bits that I had for Morse tape 1, I had to use a morse taper 2 machine. Since this was the only place I could find the adaptor, I'm glad to have found There is no quality control on this product. In the same week, I bought a morse 2 drill chuck adapter from a Brooklyn, NY seller on Ebay. This was the same price, but it had a lovely smooth finish free of blemishes.
As described, the product delivered exactly what was expected. My purchase has been a pleasant experience.
Thanks for making it easy for me when I accidentally ordered an Arbor with a MT1.
