The first step was to mark the Jacobs taper with sharpie and check the contact. A clean contact for the entire length of the taper in a Jacobs brand Chuck (+1) was achieved. After that, I put it in a Bridgeport spindle and checked it with an interapid tenths indicator for runnout. Not as much as The run-in number is 0002 The end of the taper and anywhere along it (+2) are the best places to get out. Looks to be legit, I could spend a lot more but at this point I see no downsides to this purchase.
Although it seems well made, the drawbar hole and threads are only about a 1/4" more shallow than those on my other R8 collets, making it impossible to insert/engage fully. It took some effort on my part to advance the 7/16-inch mark This collet has 20 threads, but I still had to shorten my drawbar in order to use it. Despite the necessary corrections, I had a working collet - it was inexpensive and it felt good in my hands. It gets two stars from me.
The taper is also much longer than needed in conjunction with the logo cylinder, so the shaft takes an excessive amount of space between the table and the head.
I was blown away by the price, the customer service, and the speed of As soon as I pulled the trigger, the R came on Without a chuck, I put an arbor up into my mill and an indicator showed a reading below The number 001 is the I would definitely recommend this arbor whenever I need to use a manual mill. It is exceptional for its price.
Many knee mills cannot use the threaded hole at the end of the end mill. I found this to be quite a hassle to set up. Until their QC has corrected this issue, I would not recommend this product.
