In a basement, I don't think it's the best option for general lighting. Even though the light is bright, it works best when suspended higher than the typical basement ceiling. All of the LEDs are one-way. Even if the LED arrays could be angled, the light would not spread out much and cast harsh shadows.
Yes, it will be far too bright for a short stroll. in bloset
It's very bright. Love it.
I'm not an electrician, but I'd say no; this is essentially a replacement for a standard 110v light fixture. I'd talk to the manufacturer or a licensed electrician about it.

Eh, I only gave it three stars because, unlike most other styles of this light, it does not allow the "wings" to fold up at all. They can only provide light in one direction because they only go out horizontally. While they do fold "inward," I'm not sure why anyone would do so. However, that is merely my opinion. br>br>However, it's a lot brighter than a single lightbulb in the garage ceiling. However, in the future, I would opt for one of the designs that allows the light wings to fold upwards, allowing the light to be distributed more evenly along the walls rather than straight down. In that regard, I'm disappointed because, when measured on that scale, it actually produces LESS light than a regular bulb (which shines upwards and outwards, rather than just down).
I bought two of these and put one in a basic ceramic bulb fixture in the garage ceiling. Wow, it's so bright and cheery! It took me a while to get around to installing the second one, which was in the same garage as the first and connected to the same lighting circuit. However, since both of these bulbs have been installed, the lights now come on brightly for a split second before dimming to a much less useful level. I replaced the old incandescent bulb in the second light socket, and the first one is now fully functional. I'm not sure why it won't stay on full brightness when there are two of them. Isn't that exactly what you'd want in a basement or garage with multiple bulb sockets? br>I attempted to contact the seller but received no reply. I'm disappointed that only half of my garage is well-lit and conserves energy.
Home Depot's 9W 6000K LEDs make up the rest of the string. These have a *slightly* deeper blue hue and are noticeably brighter. They have a lot more surface area than a standard Edison bulb shape, which I like. Despite the higher power consumption, the light is more evenly distributed where it is needed most (below the light), and the housing is cooler (possibly also more efficient). Overall, this is a good deal.
" This is as simple as screwing in a lightbulb, according to the listing and previous reviews. We'd have no way of knowing if it really does last 40,000 hours. Return in 2039 to see how things have progressed. The arms are folded down or at a 90-degree angle (light pointing to the floor). It isn't perfect, but it isn't a deal breaker. br>br>Those looking for a soft, natural look should look no further. Look elsewhere for white light, which is more common inside your home. The LEDs have a more industrial feel to them. Instead of the yellow or off-white, there is a bluish "daytime" tone. Tones of white It takes some time to adjust your eyes to the new environment. I previously had a single "daytime" light in the same space, which I had to discard due to insufficient wattage (my garage resembled a Soviet interrogation room). These are a lot more vibrant.
In my garage, I have eight 5000 lumen led lights. My ceiling had been finished, and I didn't want to see any cords hanging from it. I had already installed two light recepticals. I decided to give these a shot, and I'm glad I did. Two of them provide me with nearly the same amount of light as I had hoped for. My light sockets are a little further back in the garage, so the front isn't as bright as it could be, but I can live with it. If I ever need to replace these, I believe I saw one set that was a little brighter that I would buy, but I am very happy with the light they provide.
'Why didn't I get this sooner?' is my first thought. ’. It's as simple as screwing in a light bulb, it's light and bright, and it makes my garage appear larger and a lot easier to work in. I'll be able to get rid of the other four bulbs with just this one. I also tried in my basement, but I think I'll need to place a new order there. It's not blindingly bright, but it's bright enough. After all, who wants to stare at a light bulb? Because it's been less than a week, I can't comment on heat or longevity, but I'm impressed so far.
I'd like to say more, but I'm afraid I won't be Both of the items that I ordered were damaged when I received them. Both units' sockets were bent beyond repair, and they couldn't be screwed in.
I loved the brighter lighting that CFLs provided when they first became popular. Power consumption is reduced. The lighting, on the other hand, dims over time. Some people live for only two years, while others live for up to ten years. I purchased the triple blade LED light advertised in the commercial, but not the model. br> This was the case. This was a better deal. I purchased two on separate occasions. br> A well-prepared meal is one of my favorite things. Particularly in areas where there is a lot of reading, it is important to have a well The writing has been completed.
