Gaffer Power's Garry is being far too nice to duct tape. I'm not familiar with their Powersteel Duct tape, and it could be better, but most Duct tape is only a temporary fix that will most likely leave a mess if left on for too long. It's not going to work with Gaffer Power tape. In fact, neither of these methods may work unless the hose pressure is extremely low. Because their gaffer tape is so good, it's possible that their duct tape is just as good. In the end, you'll probably need to cut out that section and replace it with a metal connector designed for joining hose of that size, or if it's near the end, cut it off and replace it with a fitting designed for adding the end you want to a raw hose.
Hmm, I see some "true premium grade gaffer" that aren't made by Gaffer Power that are less expensive. Gaffer Power is a brand with a dot com website if you're interested in learning more about them. I enjoy their tape. br>If a premium company's gaffer product leaves less residue, it can charge a higher price.
No, it won't stay on concrete for very long. It's water-resistant to some extent, but it won't hold up against the elements. If you plan to use it on concrete and then immerse it in water, No, I've used it to keep plastic sheeting in place while painting to protect the concrete floor in my garage. Regular duck tape leaves a gummy residue, whereas gaffer tape does not.
It might last a while, but it's not designed to withstand those kinds of conditions. This is a tape that is best used indoors.

My vintage Eames lounge chair's leather seat cushion had a seam that had opened, requiring a costly repair. br> I tried a variety of tapes to serve as a temporary fix, but none of them worked. When they tried to sit on the cushion, they all split up. br>I then remembered how we used gaffer tape in my photography studio to hold everything together, and a quick search on the internet turned up this one. The tape not only holds the seam together with ease, but it also matches the seam fabric perfectly in color and texture. I'm debating whether or not to make the costly repair. This is genuine "REAL PREMIUM GRADE GAFFER TAPE PLUS"!.
On the plus side, the material it's made of is durable. Although it does not tear easily, tearing off pieces is not difficult if done correctly. br>br>Perhaps a little less sticky than I'd like. It loses a lot of its stick when I have to reposition it. It doesn't work well on all types of carpet, but it works best on commercial carpet that is perfectly flat (no nap). I was concerned that I had received an old roll, but the replacement roll I received appears to be identical to the original. Having used this tape professionally, I can assure you that it is of the same high quality as the rolls sold at Hollywood expendables stores. It easily tears, adheres well, and is generally simple to remove. It can be used to tape boxes for shipping or storage, to tape cords down on the floor for safety, and to keep things together on set. Masking tape will never be used again.
This was used to protect the bottom and corners of a digital camera during a one-month road trip. When removing the tape, however, the adhesive from the tape separated and remained stuck to the grip rubber on the camera. It took a mountain of effort to remove the remaining adhesive, and the camera rubber suffered as a result. It did a good job of removing hard-to-remove paint.
