This and other Loctite products are great, but I have to keep them capped because I haven't seen any information on their shelf life or how long they keep. There is a big difference between a little and a lot. This product has sat on my work bench for over five years. However, I have used it and other Loctite products recently on a number of projects without experiencing any adverse effects.

On the , I used You can really see a difference with this stuff. My grandson's 80cc atv's rear hubs had been causing problems for us to keep tight. I used it on them. The splined axles of these tires are slip-fit in the front, but they were constantly losing their grip. They have kept them firmly in place with Loctite 638. The 4 wheeler is also not babyed by him Our family went on a 6 hour excursion last weekend with atvs and side x sides over some of the gnarliest terrain in east Tennessee and had no problems whatsoever.
The price was $19 and it was brand new. The product I bought is being used by my husband to assemble another RV project. He has said it is excellent. The manual even specified this specific product. Adhesion is great, and the bottle size will last for a long time. A great deal since my husband is delighted! Response from the vendor was prompt, and the product arrived within two.
Applied to surfaces, this product performs well, but it gets better with time, just like all Loctite products do. Apply a certain amount to each application but not too much.
