So that's what I did and it worked perfectly
Selected User Reviews For Weld-On 10225 P-70 Industrial Grade PVC/CPVC Non-Bodied Primer - Fast Acting and Low-VOC, Purple, 1 Pint (16 fl oz)
In addition to working as expected, the purple dye has a semi-permanent quality. Make sure you don't make the same mistake that I did, just being careful and then getting a little on your hands thinking it will be fine to clean it It can be done regardless of solvents, detergents or abrasives. It won't take long for it all to disappear, because before you know it, you'll shed it. If you wear gloves, it isn't an issue at all. Could someone please help me with some water" It is soluble in water.
The purpose of my purchase was to test its ability to dissolve /glue This is not the case. The solvent is the recommended type but the concentration is too low because it both dissolves and does not melt or stick Kydex together. The PVC projects I have planned for next spring will not be working with regular PVC because it is fall/winter and I haven't tried this yet.
Everything goes smoothly.
My use of this primer is a result of cpvc joints that had not adhered well to glue. If you follow the directions, it works very well.
I love it!.
There have been no leaks so far, so I would say that the solution worked perfectly. I used it in conjunction with Weld-On Using it on 724 adhesive, so far there are no leaks so it seems to be working well. 1/4 pint was just right amount for 1 pint Weld-On adhesive. The 724 adhesive was used.
I can't think of anything more to say about this primer. I was very pleased with how it worked.
