I have used the glue on several of my projects and found that the slight coloration when it dries is a nice effect. color of the glue when it cures isn't visible under regular lighting. In theory, these work as intended, but in practice, you must use them immediately for your project as they melt extremely quickly. If you must break between applications to prepare other crafts, you should turn off your glue gun during the break. You will not be able to insert additional glue sticks for a long time since the glue sticks will begin to melt and warp inside and outside the machine. With Elmer's glue sticks, I've never had a problem like this. Despite a glue gun that would run for hours without a problem, mine would be unresponsive. I've to clean out my glue gun each time I forget to turn it off between applications because blobs of glue and pieces of sticks are left behind. Although this is a full waste of product and very frustrating, for the great price it is an evil I have learned to accept.

They're the same in smell, feel, and characteristics. Although these are clearer than an average glue stick, they are not crystal clear when used, so if that is an issue for you, make sure you keep that in mind.

A mini glue gun can be used with it. The application and use of this product are both very smooth and easy. The adhesive is easy to apply and has a strong bond. note that this glue is not clear or colorless. Despite its light purple appearance, it is made from a dark material. The blue color of this type dries nice and clear as opposed to being white as with This was purchased so I could hang lights on the brick of my house for Christmas. I obtained the LED lights that held perfectly, but when I attempted to take them down, it adhered to the wall so well that it was taking a little brick off of the wall, and I don't know if I can get the cable off of it without breaking the cables. My plan next year is to adhere the lights clips to the wall rather than hanging them. I can then rest assured that the lights will not be damaged. It appears that I used only one of these, as I thought I would run through a lot more of them than I did. The number of sticks is five. As for what I have left over for about 133 more years of Christmas, I guess that's enough.

It was a great idea to have glue sticks. My mini glue gun fits perfectly, and I have had no problems using them. The next time I purchase, I will definitely do so.

The stringy nature of this glue wastes a great deal of adhesive. It would not be recommended.
