The stuff can be set on it, but be careful not to set something really hot The pot is filled with water. A really great piece of work
It is believed that it is a separate purchase
It is more than a coating that serves a purpose with our Quick Coat epoxy. When the seam on a countertop runs across another, we use Quick coat to seam them together, and we thicken it to fill in We do not design our countertop epoxy to have the same characteristics as Quick Coat since it serves these purposes. In addition to having just a 15 minute work time, Quick coat is also set up in only around 4 hours total after application. It also doesn't have any UV inhibitors, nor does it include heat resistance. You can choose between our Stone Coat Countertop Epoxy or our Art Coat epoxy if you want a durable, heat-resistant epoxy.
If you want to make this a live edge tabletop, then I would recommend Stone coat counter top epoxy, but I don't recommend it If you want to do that, you should use a product meant for crafting.

Following a period of reflection, I have updated the post. * br>* br>I am an artisan who uses resin and epoxy on a regular basis, and I have used probably ten different brands. The high heat resistance resin and fast curing time intrigued me, but I had ZERO time to mix it before it set up. I mixed it by hand for four minutes in a temperature controlled environment, and by the fourth minute it had already set up and was in the sticky gel state. I was working on a project when the disaster occurred. * *** HOWEVER. I did combine eight ounces of the mixture despite it saying mix/use in small quantities. A few hours later, a second layer of concrete could be poured on top of it, which made it very convenient.
In general, I liked how fast it set up While I enjoyed warming up a small part of it and putting it in a glass with glitter, I did not enjoy having it set up when I poured it into a cup I already had. The liquid turned hard so fast that it prevented a bubble from forming as I poured it in. However, for the most part. It has a strong smell and I won't be using it again. My experience with epoxy resins is limited, but I've never encountered one with such a strong smell.
You must pay attention to what I say. We are dealing with a gap filler here. It is not a product you would use to refinish something. You can read the description here. SCC deserves a star, not one as a result of not paying It's hard to choose from all the wonderful products they offer.
How quickly the set up was was a shock to me. After following the instructions to the letter, I was only able to cover one 6x6 tile barely with adhesive before it began My stir stick got stuck when I was trying to get more, and then it was impossible for me to get it out, and the bottom of the cup was scorching! It is disappointing I could not find any real assistance on Stone Cast's website. Very little is mentioned about the work or cure rates. The next time I'll try a version in art resin.
Since it dries faster, it can only be worked on for a very short period of time. The clear substance dries quickly. What a difference it makes to dull things, it really brightens up and gives them a unique look. These are some of the beautiful projects I have made with this product including driftwood and oil candle projects.
Thanks for making it easy to use! I have no doubts that I will use it again. I was so impressed at how easy it was! In order to make my table sparkly, I added glitter to the resin. This has not been a hot sale, so I have left the star ratings There is no doubt that it works, just like the product description.
There's something about Stonecoat that I love. Those who prefer to work in small batches will benefit from the quick coat, in my opinion. It became apparent to me very quickly. Though my results seem beautiful, I do think it was a good choice. I'm likely going to stick with Craft Coat now that I've tried it.
Sets very quickly, perfect for jewelry or small projects. The best way to use is to mix in small amounts, it cures very fast, as well as being a bridge to uv resin and regular resin that takes 24 hours to cure.
