That is probably because California is run by idiots who create laws that do nothing but harm to the people living
There is a standard glue stick that it takes. The glue sticks that you can buy at Home Depot, Walmart, or your local craft store will work fine. I love the gun. *br>*br>It works well. At our countertop shop, we have used them for hundreds of hours with no problems. It is great not to be tethered to a cord when using them.

The mug heats fairly rapidly and stays hot for quite a while. The greatest advantage of portability is its cordlessness and lack of limitations. There is only ever a drip during heating up, otherwise, it is completely dry. It is possible to remove the butane capsule. There were two of them I do not remember if I bought a second one or if it came with the purchase, but they contained lots of butane and I have never used Having done 100's upon 100's of jobs, it's always done one of the best jobs, and the feeling of having a stolen or lost one prompted me to buy another one the very A glue gun is the best. You've ever seen! You should buy it if you can, it's worth every penny and has proved to be very useful.
During the week, it is used at the shop. I like this gun a lot. This is one of the basic tools we use every day at work and there is no need to worry about plugging it in - it is quite convenient. It can be a daunting task to get to a job site without power, especially if it's dark. There is little down time with this gun due to the speed at which it heats up. You should also purchase refills to have more Butane on hand.
There seems to be a problem with the gas valve.
The glue stick is pushed until one of the internal springs breaks, and then the trigger is no longer working. The same spring keeps breaking after 3 years and 5 glue guns later. In addition to the 5 or so hours I use it each day, I use it five days a week, so I assume I use it more than the average user. Spare parts are kept in the old ones. Every six months or so, I go through one of these.
It was my go-to tool in the shop all the time. The glue stick gun can stick anything, so we got some Mean glue sticks. Unlike epoxy, this is far more handy and can be used endlessly. This product comes with dual fuel "cells" that can last quite a while. We have no complaints about this product. Ignitor has failed. So far, no luck in getting it repaired. Update 8/22/13
Ignitor has reportedly failed, we are currently awaiting repair. It's the end of the warranty period etc. If it had been a unit like this, I would have expected it to have lasted longer. It's a royal pain right now to get it fired up to play with a match. Once I have figured out how to fix it, I will update again. I'm taking away 2 stars for the inability to find an easy solution for what can't be an insulated issue.
This is a CHIT piece! I used it once and the second time I tried it, the igniter would not fire. This seems to be a problem, so I sent it back. I really like the concept, but unfortunately the execution is poor.
Whether it will work when needed next will be the test. The period of time could be days, or maybe a month. However, for the time being, it does just as it should.
Several of my guys have spent a lot of time on the field saying it works well.
