It cannot bond to acrylic that has been cross-linked

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to bind acrylic or polycarbonate to foam with this?

My guess is that the foam would work if it were acrylic. It melts the acrylic together when it comes into contact with the solvent. Acrylic foam might just dissolve in the solvent, as it is so strong. Polycarbonate is a material I've never worked with before.

This product is good for bonding pla and abs (3D printer materials)?

There has been a lot of positive feedback about it, because it bonds ABS well. It can be used on ABS sheets, though I have only used it on sheets.

Can it be used after its expiration date?

It is not a time-limited offer

Can a regular face mask be used to protect against inhalation of fumes?

It seems to be a good idea. In my experience, the solvent only gave off a very small amount of odor. It was the first time I did not use a You may be able to make a difference if you had a larger quantity. Another factor may be the amount of time spent on the task.

Super glue was my first choice, but rather than try it, I went to google and found instead
5/5

Having owned 4 Ludwig Vistalite acrylic Tom Toms since 1974, I have a set that I still enjoy using. One of the biggest drums is 14 inches. The side of the garment is split down the entire length and partly down the seam. The seam splits about an inch off the side. In the mounting plate part of the split, the mounting plate attaches directly. After I thought my vintage drum was toast, I decided to figure out what to do instead of using super glue. I found a solution using The acrylic does not get glued, but is melted together instead. As a way to secure the seam, I taped the edges of the drum. The seam was treated by spraying a fine stream of solvent with a pin point applicator. It did not mar the finish when I dripped a drop on the drum and let it evaporate. The bond between them seemed strong after just five minutes. Afterward, I installed the head and hardware after it was set for two days. If you never saw the drum split, you would never know it ever happened. It makes me feel good every day to play this drum! If you need to bond acrylic, you should definitely use this.

Is exactly what I expected, works great
5/5

The label on this box appears different than what is depicted in the picture, so I initially thought they sent me the wrong item. It says Weld-but I just realized that There is an inscription on the label, just in tiny print, so they have probably changed it. Also, when you first remove the screw, since you are removing the screw from the main body- The liquid is covered by a metal piece on the lid. In the past, when I bought this, there were no instructions on how to remove the metal separator, so I ended up bending the jar's mouth when trying to get it out with pliers. The metal has since been stamped with a "cut this out" message, so I took a pair of metal cutters and cut a hole large enough to fit my hobby syringe. It's just that you should be aware that There is no need to wait for this to set. On the old label pictured, it does not say that, on the new label it This consistency of acrylic solvent is similar to water, if you have never worked with it before. The glue is meant to be used differently than regular glue, not in the same way as An educational YouTube video provides tips on how to use.

The glue is good, but a good applicator is needed
4/5

It held some acrylic disks together flawlessly and I used it to bond two discs together. As new at bonding acrylic, it took me a few times to get the details just right (you need a lot more acrylic than you imagine, and you need even coverage to prevent bubbles when bonding transparent acrylic). The following are some points to remember The can has no applicator, so you will need a brush to apply it to your project. In addition, the inner seal under the lid will need to be removed using a screwdriver or other tool.

This is a great way to tack transparent acrylic pieces together
4/5

A good glue for gluing acrylic pieces is this one. Although there are times when the gel would be better - You'll have trouble transporting your pieces if they aren't transportable The gel should be obtained. It's a great solvent if you've got pieces that are transparent. There is a deduction of one start since it is difficult to open the can- In order to open it, you must poke it with a needle and be careful not to spill solvent over it. Also, a brush or a sponge is required for working with the watery-like.

Would it be better if I WISH it would When I tried to open the bag, I spilled half the cement
3/5

There is a message that says to cut off the top! (once the cap is unscrewed, you will see a sealed metal top) What is the recommended method to remove this seal? Can it be assumed that the user has an angle grinder in their toolbox? To open it, I can't use a can opener or bottle opener. In order to avoid getting cement shards in the hole, I won't drill it. I was able to get to the stuff and it appears to have worked. There has been no sign of a leak for this long with its sealed Don't let your life end. IPS Weld is recommended for use Instead of 16, use 16.

The program works perfectly, but your volume needs to be double checked
4/5

As far as the solvent is concerned, it hasn't caused me any problems, but after ordering several of these I have noticed inconsistencies in the amount of solvent. It is either the filling method is inaccurate, or they are prone to drying out (which I imagine to be the case). Therefore, if you get a can that is only half full, that is not normal, and it should be returned.

Acrylics are glued into place with this superglue! I'm impressed by how well the solution bonds acrylic! You can see it seep between the sheets and the pieces are as if they were made from scratch in seconds
5/5

It's really amazing to see it work that way. The product is great! I'm extremely impressed with it. It will be useful to create another for a friend, and I'll need to buy more, so I'm planning to go to the same company. Several advantages of this product it came earlier than expected, it is great value for money, and it arrived sooner than anticipated.

The program works perfectly - thank you Produces welds that are as strong as any
5/5

I found it to be very helpful My experience tells me that his welds are strong as any I have seen before. Having to deal with the "inner lid" is annoying. Since I use a very small diameter brass tube to apply and pick up solvent, I simply punched a hole in the top of it. So that the lid seal is tightly sealed, doing this doesn't interfere with the threads of the lid or the gasket.
