The technical specifications are perplexing. I'm looking for something with an 8" diameter and a 1" width. What do you mean by the "3" you mention in your description?

3" ID. 3" to 5/8" adapters are available from them. My adapter is a stamped sheetmetal part with a flange that takes two screws, one on each side.

I haven't tried it yet, but it doesn't appear to be sturdy enough. If you tried to use it, it appeared that the wheel would dig in and you'd be down in no time.
