These wheels are the best thing ever when it comes to deburring parts. They're far superior to a grinder's flap wheel because they don't remove as much material as the flap disc. This is where I put straight-off-the-saw flat bar and other raw stock. It prepares welds by removing burrs and mill scale. br>While they are a little pricey, I believe they are well worth it. They're directional, so keep that in mind when you're putting them up.

A must-have item for any maker

I've been using this deburring wheel for a while now, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my fab life. This is a necessary item, and I wish I had discovered it earlier. Works well with metals (I've used steel, aluminum, and titanium), as well as plastics (acrylic and polycarbonate). For a fine grade, it's actually quite aggressive in terms of material removal, but once you get used to the resulting surface finish, it's extremely useful. Between an Aluminum Oxide grinding wheel and a buffing wheel, this wheel material falls somewhere in the middle. Now I'm in desperate need of a new grinder.

It's a time saver when it comes to deburring

It's been used to polish aluminum parts from an airplane kit, and it not only deburrs the edges, but it also polishes the machine teeth marks out of thick stock.

Thousands of machine parts, engine and transmission parts, and scrap steel have been accumulated by me. I make sculptures to keep myself from becoming a couch potato. Before and after welding, they must all be thoroughly cleaned. Cleaning off the oil and grease with deburring wheels is the best way to do this.

There is a minor vibration problem

This particular wheel has a slight vibration problem. I had previously used them and they were fine. I bought a medium grade and it works fine, but it would be nice if they included a 1/2 inch sleeve that would fit almost all grinders.

Light deburring on most metals, including aluminum, is a breeze with this wheel

Excellent for light deburring on a wide range of metals, including aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and steel. A 4 finish has a much finer scratch pattern than a 3 finish.
