Questions & Answers

Is it possible to get one for a 7 inch DeWalt ?

In fact, yes. After starting with a 4 inch grinder and realizing it wasn't large enough for my project, I purchased a 7 inch grinder, grinding wheel, and shroud from Amazon. It will cost significantly more to install the 7 equipment than to install An equipment screen of 7 inches A grinder, a device that grinds The DWE4557 floor grinding wheel has a diameter of 1/2 inch. There are two shrouds, DWE46170 and DW4775.

Are there any drill bits that can be used with this device?

For use with hand grinders, it has a 5/8" arbor threaded on one end. To create the arbor, you'll need a large 3/4" drill and an arbor that's 5/8 in diameter. This is not something I would recommend.

Can anyone tell me if this works with the Herzo One of my discs was too shallow to fit the dust shroud, so I have concerns about finding a different disc?

There was no problem for me

My driveway has a high spot pushed up by roots can this grinding wheel grind that down? an area on my roof that's 3/8" high which is causing a tripping hazard. How can I fix this?

Our 4-star rating is the best Specifically designed for dry grinding of concrete and other masonry materials, this diamond cup grinding wheel is 1/2 inch wide.

The blade I chose was the best of all of them
4/5

The outdoor floor tile on a concrete slab on which we replaced about a thousand square feet of outdoor tile recently was cracked. Two years ago, we had done a similar job on an adjacent area, so we knew what we were getting into so we purchased several wheels to help us remove the old bed. For all of them, we used a new DeWalt 13 amp grinder. The 4 inch Diamond Segment Grinding Cup Wheel Disc Grinder Concrete Granite Stone (blue disc) was used in the previous project at just over eleven dollars for about 350 square feet and it worked and lasted well. It was decided this time that we would try several blades in order to see if the square footage out of a blade could be increased, or more importantly, if you would have to work less hard to remove the material. The goal was to find a blade that is more aggressive and reduces work required. This is a list of all the blades, including the one on which this review is written. Here is a breakdown we hope will be helpful. This is the DeWalt DW4774 4-in-1 A double row measuring 1/2" This is br>. This blade might be the best of the bunch, but at thirty-two, it may not be the best deal. Considering its price is five dollars, we question whether there was sufficient quality to justify the cost. As to how long it lasted, we worked on the last 200 square feet of the project with this blade and it was still in good working order. The wheel performed well and was just short of the lasting power of the 4" Diamond Segment Grinding Cup Wheel Disc, as it was in the lower priced group. The blue version is below. There was a total area of approximately 300 square feet left after sweeping. The 4" Diamond Segment Grinding Cup Wheel Disc has a diamond segment design. The blue version (in its entirety) Among the inexpensive group, this is the one we liked the most (and Every time I used it, it got around 350 square feet. It wore out evenly over time. The dollar gets you a lot for this purchase. Whirlwind USA GPST 4 performance matrix. This 5" heavy duty grinding cup wheel can endure quite a bit of abuse In the beginning, we were disappointed by this hotel because it was the most expensive of the bunch. Though we used it for a while, it became evident that it was suitable for polishing rather than removal of large amounts of material quickly. Our initial tests with the material did not show much wear at all, and we are looking forward to using it again in the future when we need to create smooth finished surfaces. It is not worth the high price to grind if all you do is grind. The 4" diamond segment double row grinding cup wheel is made of two rows of diamonds. The black version is as follows There was only one competent member of the group. I had expected it to last for a longer time, but it barely lasted The wheel literally lost all of its teeth towards the end and was just a smooth flat surface. Our tests showed that the blades in the twelve dollar range delivered better results. In summary, if you only plan to grind a smaller area of concrete (or like material) and it is not a big project like we did, then the inexpensive blades will deliver a satisfactory result.

Thickset is easily removed from plywood with this product
5/5

I purchased this for my 20 year old Makita 4 1/2-inch angle grinder You can remove thinset from plywood by using an angle grinder of 12 inches. There was a requirement of at least 200 square feet. The following Makita tools were also acquired Four out of five The half-way point A inch is a measurement of Amazon offers a Dust Shroud that measures 18 inches wide. I had no trouble with anything. To remove the tiles, this method was far superior to using a jack hammer. In order to remove thinset, I was told to use the finer blade on the jackhammer. A big error like that would have cost me a lot of money. I believe the grinder technique can be used for smaller houses, mostly for those over 50 square feet. It requires a lot less muscle and vibration of the house, and my opinion is that it has to be used. For less money, you might be able to get by with a dremel. Regardless of the technique, you need to set up plasting sheeting with a cleaning plan that includes a fan, dust exhaust, clean intake air, eye protection, and respirator. There's not exactly an easy way to do it. I. P. All the work was done by the lady of the house.

I just needed the right tool
5/5

I love it. It went smoothly without any issues. The owner poured a concrete walkway and wanted to reveal the 3/4" aggregate and smoothed out the surface. Grinding two days in a row was enough to wear out a grinding wheel. There remained still more than 80% of its life. Concrete with a stiffness of 4500 psi and 3/4-inch aggregate was eaten in a matter of seconds. It's now up to me to find another project for this. Taking a look at the last picture at what the walkway looked like before grinding and what I was trying to accomplish, I can see my progress.

Simple and fast method to clean up concrete surfaces
5/5

The last time I used one of these was years ago. The little 4 year old. In just over two hours, I was able to clean a 120 sq ft area with this grinder. I attached it to a Dewalt DWE4011, and I began scrubbing. Imagine you're starting your project with an old house with dark blue painted walls and 12 x 12 linoleum. As far as I can tell, the blue has disappeared. If you are looking for the best dust cover, I HIGHLY recommend the DEWALT DWE46152 Surface Grinding Dust Shroud, 5-Inch A grinder like this gives old cement an appearance similar to the fine powder form it had when it was I could not have been more satisfied, I could not have asked for more.

The wheel for shaping material provides good performance and a long lifetime
5/5

This style of wheel from DeWalt provides good performance and long life for grinding surfaces flat. As the tool and wheel are moved from side to side, the wheel's edge grinds into the adjacent surface A turbine wheel has a tendency to wear faster than one without one (turbine wheels take down material quickly, but also wear out faster). In some wheel designs, material can only be ground to a particular depth due to the edge of the wheel. A pass away in a hurry. *The 4 members of the committee Most grinders can use a wheel of 1/2" diameter and use a wheel that spins at a high speed. A match between the RPMs should be made. A cord-free grinding tool can be created using this wheel with DeWalt's new Flex Volt grinder. Our FlexVolt grinder was purchased years ago and we have been using it since. When this type of grinding is carried out, a great deal of noise, flying debris, and dust are generated. Dust can be reduced by keeping the surface wet with water flowing over it. Every person who is in the area needs to take protective measures, including eye and hearing protection.

A good value complemented by quality
5/5

In order to lay down some Luxury vinyl tile, I had to prepare the concrete flooring first. The concrete had some high spots, some paint overspray, and some thin-set paint. Using some old vinyl flooring and some mastic from the kitchen, we have built a shelf from tile and mastic. My goal was to remove all of this and I used the diamond grinding wheel to accomplish that. The device was attached to my handheld variable speed buffer and worked perfectly with a steady hand. It had to be swept As a result of removing the thin layers, I ended up gouging my slab As a result of the gauges being set I had to fill them in with patching compound and yet still have to finish the project with self leveling concrete. In order to take off a few high spots, I used the self leveling grinder and turned down the speed to the lowest setting. The grinding wheel appears to be really well made and I have used it quite a bit, but I don't know if it has worn down considerably. My concrete grinding will last as long as this product, which I will use for many years to come. Please be aware! A lot of dust is generated when concrete is ground. If you don't wear a mask, the dust gets everywhere and in your lungs.
