Questions & Answers
A wheel with 7 inches of diameter is mentioned for each wheel. As a single row wheel, DW4771 has ridges along the circumference of the wheel, and as a double row wheel, DW4775 has ridges aligned in line along the circumference. A diagonal row of ridges is distributed around the surface of the DW4773T. This is an indicator that the wheel will last longer and be more durable by using turbo power.
If you are going to cut some of the concrete, you should do so to keep it clean as well. still need a shroud, and your choice of shroud will not matter because the turbo price will be higher.

It's a no-brainer My project was a small home improvement project. I used this wheel to edge a concrete floor (162 square feet) and remove a few pieces of vertical stucco. Few signs of wear can be seen on the pucks. was careful not to let the wheel get hot nor did I apply excessive pressure in order to let the blades do their job. It had not been warped when it was brand I then noticed it had developed a wobble one day when I tried to use it. In this case, the wobble was due to the wheel becoming out of round and creating so much vibration that the tool was rendered useless, lest I wish to destroy the piece of work. Two times I contacted Dewalt with the same issue and they refused to issue a refund or replacement saying "This product has no warranty, it has only a 30 day money back guarantee, so if you are within the timeframe you can return it or exchange it". It is at your own risk to buy.
As the tool and wheel are moved side-to-side, the grinding edge of the wheel grinds into the adjacent surface It is designed so that more material can be ground on the outside edge, as the vanes extend beyond the edge of the wheel. A pass will take you away. For a powerful grinder to drive a 7" diameter wheel, it is necessary to have a motor with a large capacity. Make sure the RPM ratings match. It is possible to reduce dust by keeping the grinding surface wet with flowing water to keep the surface wet with a great deal of noise, flying debris, and dust. Any person who is in the vicinity needs to wear eye and hearing protection.
In fact, this wheel is a turbo row cup rather than a double row. Dual dewalt cup wheels are known for their aggressiveness, but may not be suitable for all applications. The surface of this turbo wheel is less rough, but it is not quite as aggressive. You need to use this wheel if you plan to do any staining or dyeing on the floor.
On a concrete floor, this wheel served as a grinding wheel to remove tiles adhesive. We used a 7" grinder to finish a job that was about 400 square feet. strongly recommend using a shroud for a grinder since it produces a lot of dust. This kept its sharpness throughout usage and the job was completed in about 4 hours. I have also used it to grind down some concrete that the previous homeowner hadn't poured well. Concrete is resurfaced with this as if it were a sander. The thing must be carefully placed down anywhere since it will scratch the surface permanently if you put it down while spinning. Don't just give up if it doesn't completely stop spinning. Do your research and be careful.
We just don't get even wear from DeWalt. In these cases, the grinding is uneven since they are lopsided. As for the longevity of the machines (square feet), they don't compare. On both the DeWalt and Makita grinders that I have used, I have found the Ridgid to be more accurate and to work much more smoothly.
The program does exactly what it is supposed to do. A tough one. The machine removes material at a normal pace. Concrete can be removed more quickly and at a lower cost with a grinding wheel with two rows. There is a good chance it will last.
The purpose of this grinder is to grind decorative cement blocks for retaining walls. There was pressure on my retaining wall from the earth, which led to it leaning. I hired a couple of guys and we hand dug about 4 feet down and with this grinding wheel we ground a wedge out of the row that was falling out. We leveled that row and replaced the rest of the rows, and now Initially, I was unsure how well it would last through all that grinding, however, I was surprised to see that after a whole day of almost continuous use, it finally wore down to about one eighth of its original thickness. Purchased this product recently and very happy with it.
