Questions & Answers

This can be used to drive a bench motor with a 5/8" threaded shaft. According to the description of the adaptor you can buy, the shaft is 1/2". ?

My drill press has a chuck that can be adjusted, so you can use it with it. You may or may not be able to use it.

Can you tell me if this is a genuine Merit Sand o Flex and if it actually includes the wheel as well as sandpaper?

It is indeed a Merit brand Sand "o" Flex you see in the photo above. There are eight openings on the side of the wheel through which the sand paper protrudes. Sifting the wood takes place as a result of flaps of sandpaper spinning as the wheel spins. In my experience, the Sand o flex wheel has made a huge difference.

What is the fit for a Dremel?

Thank you for coming by. You have asked a good question, thank you. There is a maximum operating speed of 2,400 RPM for this product. There is a general speed range between 5,000 to 35,000 RPM with Dremel Tools. The tool would be unsafe to use if that were the case with your model, so we do not recommend using this product to use it. It is important to verify that the RPM for this product or any other product will work on the machine you are using.

The seller is important, but look out for the product
5/5

Everything is as described and I was able to use it. A negative review, however, can be found for the seller MobAsh. This seller "MobAsh" received two stars from me. Shipping was done accurately but when the packages arrived I had to pay additional postage despite the fact that I had already paid for it during the buy-it-now The package was not sufficiently postage paid for its weight by MobAsh. When I contacted them about the situation and explained that I needed additional postage for my package to be delivered to me, their response was that I shouldn't have had to pay postage since I already had, and that they would not be refunding that As a result, I was able to purchase the item cheaper elsewhere because of the additional postage. Considering the additional postage, they need to check their scale or declare that there may be additional postage when packages arrive.

I really like it
5/5

One of these I bought after seeing a YouTube user use it. For me, I use it to sand the inside lip of wood bowls while spinning them on the In some of the wood I use, it's been very difficult to get smooth cuts in the cross grain. Using this, you can sand a surface to a smooth finish with ease. To avoid damaging the ground, be careful not to sand heavily in one area. My paper has not yet been changed, and just by looking at the poorly written instructions, I expect the process to be frustrating. A second sheet of paper will be 120 grit once I get the 80 grit paper.

This is a well-made product and works very well
5/5

The quality of the materials is excellent. After you realize you have to unroll the sandpaper inserts before putting them in, changing grits is fast and easy. My only complaint is you have to have a motor that can be reversed, which is more expensive than one with a fixed It seems to be most important to be able to use a drill press.

I am satisfied with it
4/5

This grinder does not seem to be as strong as my old (very old) You might have seen a metal version of this same sanding wheel in the 1970s, but it still appears to work just fine. If you have irregular surfaces to sand. For example, if you are working on a crib whose turned spindles are intricate, this tool will save the day. At the very least, this will save you a lot of time! There hasn't been anything I've been able to find in 60 years of woodworking that works quite like the second method. It will be interesting to see how long the plastic one lasts me!.

There is no problem
5/5

The way it works is great, however a smaller version would be useful.

This is simply amazing
5/5

One of these units was purchased over twenty years ago by me. The old one finally began to have some problems, so I replaced it with There's no doubt it's an easy way to sand non-ferrous materials The surface should be flat. My company, Sand-O-Cane, manufactures walking canes (I have made well over 600 canes since 1985), and I rely on the Sand-O-Cane. With the flexible abrasive wheel, the amount of time spent on the job can be greatly reduced. There is nothing more remarkable than it.
