An assembly of filters is what they call it. In addition to the white cloth filter and black rubber edging, there is also a hard black plastic piece inside the vacuum that you have to attach the filter to.

My order was delivered within a day of ordering, and the brand new filter in our Eureka cordless lightweight vacuum is a perfect match to the original. This item is also easy to clean. With a gentle pinch, I literally finger the prongs of the dust cup, and it slides out. You can get rid of even more dirt by wiping down the vacuum's filter with a damp paper towel after you've shaken it off in your kitchen trash can (the cleaner the filter, the better it works). In order to thoroughly clean the filter, immerse it in warm, running water and apply a small amount of dish soap (NOT the harsh dishwasher type) to it and lightly rub it. Allow it to air dry after thoroughly rinsing. It's been more than two years since I wrote my first review. With regular use and good care the filter should last a long time.
When I originally reviewed it, it had been a year. This is the ORIGINAL filter we are still using! As an enthusiastic user of Eureka's product, I am fully supportive. 8/3/13 Our Eureka Stick Vacuum has now been around for nearly two and a half years and is still operating well. Recently, the filter had to be replaced - This item was purchased at the same time as the vacuum cleaner. As long as it is maintained properly, I anticipate this filter to last just.
In a previous review, I looked at this dust filter and When you call Eureka & Co. As a result of getting the right installation instructions, I am revocating the 1st review you posted. To start with, there is a plastic cage inside the vacuum when you purchased it. It is necessary to pull back on the top rubber edges of the old filter in order to remove it. Simply pull the rubber edge of the new filter over the top of the cage to install the new filter on top of it. It's that simple. The car is as good as new and ready to go Thanks to the new filter, I am very happy. Having worked with Eureka since the 1970s, I must say you have a fantastic staff! Please join us! I had to get into the smaller lighter size due to a serious injury! I just thought it might be useful for people to know that the WHITE filter is all. There is a black filter FRAME needed to attach the filter properly NOT included, which is NOT included in this package. In the original package of the vacuum, the black frame was supposed to be attached to the filter. This should not be thrown away. That black thing should be saved and the filter should be attached to This is the correct filter. It may need to be bent or manipulated a bit, but it is indeed correct.
There was no place for my vacuum in the top 10. As soon as I move into this studio with hardwood floors I wonder what will I do with this vacuum? Let's hear the goodwill from the local community! In the past I bought a Eureka Stick Vac that got wonderful reviews on the internet but is discontinued now. My favorite part about it is that I got it for seven bucks. The only difference is that. There was a lot of dirt on the filter. I want to thank Amazon for this. Your company supplied me with new replacement filters, and they fit perfectly. It was their $7 vacuum purchase that made my day. It's a snap to make my appliance more environmentally friendly and to save me money on having to buy something new with unnecessary packaging. It has been a few days since I received my replacement filter. As far as the frame that enables it to function is concerned, I found it particularly difficult to get onto it. There are also no instructions included on the packaging for removing the old filter from the frame and replacing My mechanical abilities aren't bad, so I'm usually able to analyze this kind of situation without too much trouble. As soon as I figured out how to remove the old filter from the frame, it took me almost 15 minutes to get the new one on.
It is part number 61544A. However, the replacement does not fit like the one that came with the original. This one fits well but is floppy, whereas the original is stretched around a kind of cage. One advantage of the floppy is that it's easier to clean If you insert your fingers and wiggle them a bit, it will happen. The problem is that it's harder to fix. There is a piece sticking out of the cage on the original that you use to remove the filter. To get to this one, you need to pry it open. It is reported that Eureka replaced the cage style filter in its Quick Up stick vacuums a while ago in a cost-cutting move. Therefore, you may not be able to choose.
I don't know what has happened to the appliance, but I've noticed that puffs of dust are coming out of the top edge around the dust cup holder. Apparently, the gasket around the dust cup is softening and pulling inward, so it doesn't sit properly at the corners anymore. I tried repositioning it, but there is no stiffness on the edges to hold it. The part is supposed to be from Eureka, right?.
